 M.Lönnqvist: vocals P.Lehtinen: guitar, vocals M.Maltari: guitar T.Eiskonen: bass R.Tynkkynen: drums ABOUT THE BAND Dead In The Water was formed year 2000 in Hämeenlinna, Finland. Based in hardcore/punk roots, musically the band headed for a darker approach combining mid-to-slow tempo metal with hardcore. The first gig wasn't played until 2002 opening for From Ashes Rise. Soon after this a self titled 7" EP was released. Next year the mini-album "Less days left until the final rest" was recorded and released as CD and a 10" vinyl pressing followed by the end of the year. On this minialbum, the music headed towards a slower and more depressive direction, still maintaining a recognizable hardcore baseline. Right after the mini was released, a scandinavian tour with Northern Ireland's The Dagda followed. The year 2004 took the band touring outside scandinavia for the first time, but soon after the tour things got quiet and the band went low-key for the remaining year, as well as most of 2005 with the exception of only a couple of gigs in Finland. In late summer 2005 the line-up saw it's first change in the form of a new drummer. Slowly but firmly the heartbeats got stronger whereas in the same time the musical tempo slowed down even further as new material was written for the debut album. All-new material was first time played live in summer 2006 with the live-debut of the new drummer. Recordings for the album started in Hämeenlinna towards the end of the year. After finishing the actual recording process, a tour with Seattle's Öroku followed covering western europe widely from north to south. Giving birth to the album was still taking time as a fuller and more massive sound was being hunted in the mixing stage. Right before the end of the year, the band got signed by Firedoom Music. The debut album "Echoes... in the ruins" was released on 07 May 2007. A vinyl pressing of the album will be released in spring 2008. MEMBERS
